kasybos inžinierius statusas T sritis profesijos apibrėžtis Inžinierius, kuris tyrinėja technines kasybos problemas, pataria metalų arba nemetalų rūdos kasybos klausimais, prižiūri rūdynų žvalgybos darbus. Parengia, organizuoja ir prižiūri rūdos kasybos, pirminio jos apdorojimo ir skirstymo operacijas. Jis atlieka tyrimo darbus, skirtus naujiems rūdos kasybos metodams sukurti ir jau naudojamiems patobulinti, pataria savo darbdaviui, bendradarbiams arba klientams rūdos kasybos klausimais, prižiūri rūdynų aptikimo, atpažinimo ir įvertinimo darbus, atlieka geologines analizes ir topografinius tyrimus, kuriais siekiama nustatyti rūdynų vietą, matmenis, polinkį ir įvertinti rentabilios rūdos kasybos galimybes. Konsultuoja kitus specialistus, tokius kaip geologai, metalurgijos ir statybos inžinieriai, inžinieriai mechanikai ir pan. Nustato tinkamiausius kasybos būdus ir naudojamų mašinų ir įrenginių tipus.
